Manitowoc, Wisconsin's Maritime Capitol, is best known for hosting
championship fishing tourneys, sailing and other water
sports at spectacular Lake Michigan venues. This athletic-oriented
community just south of Green Bay offers a full range of
support services for nearly every team and individual sport through its
Visitor & Convention Bureau, conveniently located on
I-43, exit 149.

Manitowoc is home to the Bandits, a semi-pro baseball
team, and offers a choice of quality ball fields for every
team sport. Just minutes from the 86th PGA Championship at Whistling
Straits, Manitowoc presents inexpensive courses for
beginners and challenging fairways for the serious golfer. For a change
of pace, play a challenging 18-hole disk frisbee course
on our scenic lakeshore. In winter, Manitowoc's 24,000sf Ice Center
hosts hockey tourneys, skating competition and sports
shows. Hear the roar of stockcars racing at the adjacent Expo, with
grounds and buildings to accommodate a wide variety of
competitions and events. Our YMCA offers two indoor, 6-lane swimming
pools, indoor tennis, racketball, etc. University of
Wisconsin-Manitowoc and our high school gyms host many team competitions
for both youth and adult teams. Coming soon will be Manitowoc's new
20,000sf Regional X-Sports Complex.
