Visit Eau Claire is located in West Central Wisconsin and includes the communities of Eau Claire, Menomonie, Altoona, and the Towns of Union and Wheaton.

Eau Claire is a beautiful community steeped in history and rich in tradition.  Carson Park, surrounded by Half Moon Lake, is home to UW-Eau Claire athletics and includes a baseball field with 3,800 seat grandstand, 2 championship caliber softball fields, and a newly remodled football field with state-of-the-art artificial turf.  Other facilities include Bollinger Athletic fields, an 8 field soccer complex, the Eau Claire Indoor Sports Center, the Eau Claire YMCA, Hobbs Ice Arena, and numerous golf courses including Wild Ridge, named a four star course by Golf Digest Magazine.

Menomonie, located just 20 minutes from Eau Claire, is home to UW-Stout and the Dunn County Ice Arena.  The University's Recreation/Athletic Complex includes Johnson Fieldhouse and Williams Stadium.  Both have state-of-the-art playing surfaces.  Wakanda Park, on the shores of Lake Menomin, has wonderful baseball, softball, and swimming facilities.  It has been host to numerous national triathlons including the USA Triathlon World Qualifier in September of 2003 which drew rave reviews from participants.

For fishing events, beautiful Lake Wissota is located just minutes north of Eau Claire.  Numerous local and national fishing tournaments have been held there, including 2005's ESPN Elite 50 Tournament and 2007's Fishers of Men Midwest Regional.
