Door County is Wisconsin's premiere coastal vacation destination.  With over 300 miles of shoreline, great lakes fishing abounds through private charter services as well as fishing tournaments.  Each year the Lake Michigan community of Baileys Harbor hosts the Annual Brown Trout tournament.  In May Sturgeon Bay is home base for the Open Bass Tournament and July brings the Kewaunee/Door County Salmon Tournament.

In addition to great fishing, Door County offers a variety of soft adventure sporting activities, including cycling, kayaking, canoing, hiking, para-sailing and numerous organized runs for charity.

The Door County baseball league, a long time popular sport among local residents, is getting more and more attention from visitors.  Every Sunday local teams face off to the delight of young and old.  One of the newest sports attractions for Door County is diving.  With over 200 shipwrecks in the waters surrounding the county, divers have the opportunity to explore wrecks over 100 years old and preserved perfectly in the cool fresh waters of Lake Michigan and Green Bay.
