The exhibition illustrates the distinct contrast between the monarchy of Imperial Russia and the humble roots of Lincoln. The exhibition will include approximately 200 objects, half devoted to Czar Alexander II, including treasures of Imperial Russia, the other half devoted to the life, times, and death of President Lincoln. Ivory, gold, jewels, silver, porcelain, oil portraits, and watercolors dramatically depict the splendor of Imperial Russia and the Czar's privileged life. From museums and private collections across America will come Lincoln artifacts, paintings, Civil War artifacts, photographs, broadsides, clothing, and the chair from Ford's Theater where Lincoln sat the night he was murdered by John Wilkes Booth. Hours are Tuesday - Saturday - 10am - 4:30pm and Sunday - 1pm - 4:30pm.
