UW-Stout to Host Great Lakes Lacrosse League

Championship Tournament

April 24-26, 2009

 

The UW-Stout Men’s Lacrosse Club will host the Great Lakes Lacrosse League Championship Tournament in Menomonie April 24-26, 2009. 

 

This college level club lacrosse league includes four regions and 26 teams, totaling more than 500 members from Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, and Michigan.

 

The Championship Tournament consists of all league teams seeded by regional ranking, with the top two teams from each region competing for the league title.  Games will be played at UW-Stout’s Don & Nona Williams Stadium as well as at Phalen Park in Menomonie.

 

The Chippewa Valley Sports Commission assisted the UW-Stout Men’s Lacrosse Club with the bidding process for this event.

 

The estimated economic impact to the Chippewa Valley from this event is $140,000.
