Wisconsin Dells' Great Wolf Lodge Breathes New Life Into Green Meeting Trend
Back To News Articles

Tue Feb 9, 2010

Great Wolf LodgeIt’s no secret that the green meeting trend is far from losing steam. In fact, a survey of corporate managers by the National Business Travel Association said nearly 25 percent prefer green meeting suppliers, and another 30 percent will use hotels in the future that feature environmentally friendly amenities and practices.

That’s why Great Wolf Lodge, the first – and only – hotel chain to have all U.S. properties Green Seal™ certified, has added the word “sustainable” to its commitment to providing groups with an atmosphere of “Focus, Food & Fun!”

Each Great Wolf Resort, including the property in the Wisconsin Dells, had to undergo extensive audits of operations and processes covering nearly every aspect of its business – including conference and meeting spaces. It took more than a year to make the necessary changes to meet the rigorous certification requirements, but you won’t believe the difference it has made. Below are some highlights of the sustainable changes the Dells and other properties have made. I’d love to speak with you further about the specific meeting amenities and special services the Dells property has to offer next week, if you’re available. It might make a great “unique venues” piece.
