Assigned mentor will check in with new members a minimum of once a month for the first 3 months and then on a quarterly basis for the first year.  Team will check in with mentors on status.

Develop a database of potential members. In order to better track our members the committee will create a state wide map showing the location of existing members and prospective members.

Make more of a “sales” piece.  Incorporate educational and networking opportunities.

Offer 3 educational forums

CEO Forum in January.  Other possible forum topics are sales, conflict resolution for CEOs, Human Resources, Trade Show (how to do, how to respond to leads, etc.  Marketing topic as well.

Find out what elements of LinkedIn are most valuable to our members.  Do a mini-workshop on LinkedIn at a board meeting.  Find “managers” for subgroups.

Continue monthly educational tidbits

Divide up tasks into bite-sized chunks and ask each member to tackle some of them.  Create larger role for vice chair.

Provide a comprehensive industry calendar to include all tourism and tourism related events and links to registration. 

1.  Provide an annual calendar and continue to update and monitor the calendar providing new information to members.  Continue to provide links for registration and information regarding the events when possible.

Make recommendations to DOT that WACVB members sit on council committees. (include non-council members).

Contact Council Chair to find out what committees exist, who sits on the committees and when there are committee openings.
