World Para Ice Hockey Women’s World Challenge

The 2022 World Para Ice Hockey Women’s World Challenge was the first-time women competed in an international para ice hockey competition. Held at the Cornerstone Community Center in Green Bay, teams from the USA, Canada, Great Britain, and Team World faced off in this historic event. Team USA will defend their 2022 Gold Medal win when the event returns to Green Bay in August 2023.

American Cornhole Organization: Season 18 Beloit Major

Beloit hosted the American Cornhole Organization at the Eclipse Center January 12-14, 2023. The event was the third annual visit to Beloit and it drew 135 players from twelve states. Players competed in a number of categories, including singles, doubles, quads, seniors, juniors, and women. The players competed for more than $5,000 in prize pool money. Visit Beloit and ACO have agreed to a three-year extension to keep the Beloit Major on the calendar through 2026.

SAFECON

SAFECON, the National Intercollegiate Flying Association’s annual flight competition, recently brought 500 of the nation’s top collegiate pilots to Janesville. Held at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport, the event showcased the expertise of 26 teams in 12 different skill sets. Airborne exhibitions including navigation, precision landing and message drop attracted flight enthusiasts and spectators from across the country.

U.S. Senior Open Championship

The best male golfers age 50 and up will tee-off at SentryWorld in picturesque Stevens Point at the 43rd U.S. Senior Open Championship June 27-July 2, 2023. This is the first Senior Open and third USGA championship to be played on the 200-acre parkland course. SentryWorld, Wisconsin’s first destination golf course, was developed in 1982. It offers both golfers and spectators plenty of diversions between rounds with indoor tennis, restaurants, a boutique hotel, and banquet space.
